This privacy policy explains how homefitnesscode.ie (“we”, “us”) collects and uses personal data when you use the free Walking Pad Weight-Loss Planner. homefitnesscode.ie is an independent guide based in Ireland. Orders, payments, delivery, returns and warranty are handled by Home Fitness Code on its own store at ie.homefitnesscode.com, under its own privacy policy.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is homefitnesscode.ie, 22 Patrick Street, Dún Laoghaire, Co. Dublin, Ireland. To ask a question or use any of your rights, reply to any email we send you or write to that address.
What we collect and why
- Planner answers: your quiz answers (for example your walking time and weight range) are processed only in your browser to build your plan. They are not sent to or stored on our server.
- Email and first name (optional): if you ask us to email your plan, we collect your email address and, if you give it, your first name. We use them to send your plan and a short series of walking pad tips. The legal basis is your consent.
- Technical data: our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and to keep the site running. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure website.
Email service (Kit)
Our emails are sent with Kit (ConvertKit LLC), which stores your email address and first name and records whether emails are opened or links are clicked. Kit is based in the United States and transfers data under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses. Every email contains an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Affiliate links and cookies
Some links to ie.homefitnesscode.com are affiliate links. If you buy after clicking one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. When you visit the Home Fitness Code store, that store and its affiliate system may set cookies under its own privacy and cookie policies. This site itself does not use advertising or analytics cookies.
How long we keep data
We keep your email address and first name until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Server logs are kept for a limited period by our hosting provider.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to or restrict its use, receive a copy of it, and withdraw your consent at any time. You also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission in Ireland (dataprotection.ie).
